This thread is anything to do with music. say anything about it u want, from songs to artists to genres to opinion etc.
an idea is to recommend a few of ur fav songs for other ppl to download to expand their likes. i love the feeling of 'discovering' a new band and frankly its been too long between bouts for me. cheers

First thing from me: James Rayne's song Hammerhead. it's even better when played live (heard of him staker?) i'm saying this coz i'm listening to it now
Second thing: Paul Kelly's 'Song from the sixteenth floor' is also a goodie.
Third thing: anything by Incubus is gold in my books
Fourth thing: try downloading 'for one day' by evermore i like it (they did that OC song on that was on the add)

theres nothing better than music.
i've heard of James Rayne, but dont know any of his songs. Incubus are pretty good.
the only thing is, no-one ever like the music you do.
I suggest: Pearl Jam - Even Flow, Blood, Spin the Black Circle, Hail Hail, Do the Evolution, Breakerfall Alice in Chains - Grind, Them Bones, Down in a Hole, Nutshell (slower accoustic) Tool - Stinkfist, Ænima Soundgarden - Jesus Christ Pose, Spoonman, Nothing to Say Jerry Cantrell - Anger Rising, My Song

i have a new reccomendation for you all. it is a one off band formed this year for the 25th anniversary of Roadrunner Records. they are called Roadrunner United and their new cd is called The All-Star Sessions. it is a great mix of rock, heavy metal and some emo/screamo.
The four main members of the band are Joey Jordison (Slipknot), Dino Cazares (ex-Fear Factory/Brujeria), Robert Flynn (Machine Head), and Matthew Heafy (Trivium). But each song has a different producer and lead singer to give each song a unique sound.
My reccomendation from this cd are as follows:
No Way Out
Daryl Palumbo (GLASSJAW, HEAD AUTOMATICA) - vocals Matt Baumbach (ex-VISION OF DISORDER) - guitar, bass Joey Jordison (SLIPKNOT) - drums, bass Junkie XL - programming, synths
Music written by Joey Jordison and Matt Sepanic Lyrics written by Daryl Palumbo
I Don't Wanna Be (A Superhero)
Michale Graves (ex-MISFITS) - vocals Matthew K. Heafy (TRIVIUM) - lead and rhythm guitars Justin Hagberg (3 INCHES OF BLOOD) - rhythm guitars Mike D'Antonio (KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) - bass Dave Chavarri (ILL NINO) - drums
Music written by Matthew K. Heafy Lyrics written by Michale Graves
Roads
Mikael Ã…kerfeldt (OPETH) - vocals Josh Silver (TYPE O NEGATIVE) - keyboards, backing vocals
Music written by Josh Silver Lyrics written by Mikael Ã…kerfeldt

c'moooooon, i meant mention 1 or 2 songs like i did, not 50. i have no urge to download any songs you've listed coz there's too damn many! but if you just list 5 of ur favs then people can understand that you really like them and there's a reason to that: they're good, even if they're not your taste. so cut down, list your top 5 or sumthing
