Prisonbreak (channel 7, wednesdays 8:30pm)
Ok, me and Staker like this one. It's like Lost: it's such a simple plot yet it takes like 20 episodes to get to the end. A guy is in jail, his brother tries to break him out of jail, they (presumably) get out of jail. Simple! Some movies (eg: Escape from Alcatraz) only take 2.5 hours from start to finish. This takes a whole season. But it's all good. Like Lost it leaves you hanging at the end of each episode just itching to see more the next week. I think 2million Aussies watched it on its premier night which is 10% of our whole population! Pretty good. I think this'll be a winner like Lost is. OVERALL: Pros: it's entertaining, gripping and original. Cons: Channel 7 had a bloody countdown timer on the premier night wich was way over-advetising. So far I rate this 8/10, but the rating my change by the end of the season. TANG

Karnivool Live
Well not much to say but they rock - so they get thumbs up from me. The songs are so much like the recordings, they're all very tallented musos. I bought a t-shirt. I like the t-shirt. I say 10/10. Erin would say not 10/10... she got lost. Staker may say 9/10 or something, i dont know. no-one ever comes on here any more. I don't blame them - look at my crappy reviews!

The Emperor's New Groove
Yes, buckle up it's time for another of my highly-anticipated and positively-praised reviews. The Emperor's New Groove is, as many may know, a childrens animated movie. So it therefor must ONLY be for children, right? WRONG! Am I a child? No (technically). Is Emily a child? Yes (technically) but still we are by no means of ages 6-12 and we were still able to enjoy this movie on a Saturday night (amongst other things such as pizza and Solo). The movie is filled with memorable and funny quotes such as 'Kronk:"Oh, riiiiiiiight. The poison. The poison for Kuzco, the poison chosen especially to kill Kuzco, Kuzco's poison...
....That poison?" "YES that poison you idiot!!!" Its humour is aimed at both kids and grown-ups alike and it is this humour which makes it one of the better 'kids' movies out there. It is well worth a watch if you ever have a spare hour and a half and is even funnier when watched with friends. David Spade does Emperor Kuscos' voice very well and is well suited to the roll (he's this stupid in real life, too).
Overall: I say this is well worth a watch. Me 'n Em were able to have fun and some parts were classics. 8/10

Pioneer TSW300R Sub VS Sony XSL122P5 SubHere's the Pioneer: Here's the Sony: The Sony and the Pioneer. Both rivals in the budget sub catigory. I'll get straight to it. Sony holds 380watts RMS and 1300peak and costs $150. Pioneer holds 150RMS and 600peak and costs $150. The Sony's the same price as something two times less powerfull! So you'd think that the Sony would be better hey? Wrong. I had the Pioneer for about 2 months before blowing it. It gave some very decent punch considering the price and how much watts it could take. I've had the Sony for about 2 weeks, and have tried to get that same punch but to no success. The Pioneer was pointing towards my tail lights and gave it's most punch. The Sony has to be facing towards the passangers to give any punch at all, and even then it's minimal. The pros of the Pioneer are that it is cheep and can get up to a decent volume and give good quick bass hits. The cons are that it cannot go very loud (as you would expect for only $150 and 150RMS). The pros of the Sony are that it is better at hitting low notes than the Pioneer and also goes louder, seeing as though it can take twice the power. However the cons are that it has little punch and for something that's gonna take about 1300watts (my amp does 800max) it is not very impressive. You can see the cone bending at the edges where it is held back by the rubber surround. Dodgy. Never buy Sony. I should have listened. And so should you. REVIEW SOON TO COME (when bought + new amp): The Kicker L7
